Glendale is an up and coming inner city Calgary SW community established back in 1955. The community is in great proximity to downtown Calgary, giving it’s inner city real-estate great value and is the site of many new infill developments.

Glendale Amenities and Services
Glendale is bordered by main routes, some of which that are listed above, that provide numerous strip malls and access to other main routes with even more businesses. Westbrook Mall is minutes north of Glendale, while Signal Hill Shopping Centre is minutes south.
The advantage of being in an inner city community such as Glendale is the ease of access to services and amenities of all kinds surrounding the community. There are three schools in Glendale, two public elementary and one separate junior high. 37th Street SW is the main source of all public transportation for the community that can be reached in less than ten minutes of walking from any point inside Glendale.
Glendale has three schools inside its borders. Two of them are Glendale and Glenmeadow Elementary Schools that teach kindergarten to grade six. Privatized St. Gregory Elementary /Junior High is also within Glendale which gives a privatized learning opportunity for student’s kindergarten to grade nine.
Designated public schools include Glendale Elementary, Vincent Massey and A.E. Cross for Junior High and Ernest Manning for Senior High. These schools are in close proximity to the community.

Glendale’s main source of public transportation is 37th Street SW found on the eastern boundary of Glendale. Three main routes on 37th Street SW include Circle Routes 72 and 73 and Glenbrook Express 166. Circle Routes encircle the whole city connecting stations from the south and north sectors.
Other routes that are close by include Signal Hill, 69th Street, Killarney and 26th Avenue, Aspen Woods, BRT North and West, Valley Ridge, Coach Hill, Cougar Ridge and Strathcona. Glendale has numerous different opportunities for residents trying to get somewhere.
