Pho Chu The Calgary Restaurant Review

Pho Chu The Calgary Restaurant Review

Vietnamese pho is one of my favourite types of cuisine. It’s healthy, cheap and is almost always served quickly, which works out for the better when your schedule is hectic. I am always up for trying out a new pho restaurant, this time it was Pho Chu The on Macleod Trail and boy am I glad I went!

  • Food – 9/10
  • Atmosphere – 8/10
  • Service – 7/10

Atmosphere and Service

Pho Chu The has a recently renovated interior and is well kept. Tables are spacious and its long room size makes for a decent amount of privacy.

After ordering, we noticed that our food was taking a long time to make, considering that there were only a few other occupied tables, but the wait was well worth it when we finally got our food and took the first bite.

Our Orders

  • Pho Sate Beef Noodle Soup XL – Pho Chu The has a great pho sate. The broth is balanced nicely between sweet and spicy and is quite delicious. One thing that I would have liked to see is more beef. It seems as if there was a bit less than in comparison to other pho restaurants pho sate soup. On a good note, the beef was very lean without any gristle at all.

Overall, Pho Chu The was a good Vietnamese dining experience. If you find yourself on Macleod Trail in between downtown and Chinook Mall and got a knack for Vietnamese, consider heading over to Pho Chu The!
