    One of the best perks of buying real estate in Airdrie is convenient access to several parks, playgrounds and pathways. All the newer master-planned suburban communities in Airdrie were designed with these three features at the core, and the great thing is that older neighbourhoods aren’t lacking them either.

    There are currently more than 75 playgrounds in communities across Airdrie designed for children ages 2 to 12, in addition to four large regional parks: Nose Creek, East Lake, Chinook Winds, Fletcher Regional.     Outdoor gyms are a thing here with three of them used from late spring to early fall depending on the weather. Airdrie also has an outdoor BMX Park and skatepark at Chinook Winds and a number picnic shelters which are often accompanied by a firepit, not to mention multiple outdoor baseball diamonds, tobogganing hills and trails for cross country skiers located in the four larger regional parks mentioned above.
