    With more than a million visitors every year, the Calgary Stampede is not only known as the “greatest outdoor show on earth,” but is also one of the largest! A lot of time and work go into making this annual show happen, and when considered, the logistics of the entire show are pretty insane to think about.

    #1The very first Stampede took place in 1912, organized by Guy Weadick, an American cowboy, performer, and promoter – 80,000 people showed up to the event [4]

    #2 – In 1912, Calgary only had a population of around 90,000 [4][5] – to attract nearly the same number of people to the show was an incredible accomplishment, to say the least

    #3 – Today, well over 1 million visitors from around the world visit the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth [4]
