    Chestermere is a rapidly growing city with a population increase of more than 30% since 2011. The majority of Chestermere real estate is found on the west side of the lake, although newer developments are now springing up on the east side.

If a trip to Calgary is needed, it takes about 15 minutes via the Trans Canada Highway (immediately accessible on the northeast side), or about the same amount of time when using Highway 1A (17th Avenue SE) on the south side.

    A brand new Costco, Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond + more is found along Highway 1A just before entering Calgary. Part of the new East Hills Shopping Centre, you’ll also find a handful of restaurants and other shops and services here. Drive a little further on the Highway 1A to reach “International Avenue” where you’ll find a full spectrum of businesses and services ready to help you!

    Chestermere is also home to the 18-hole Lakeside Golf Club complete with a grill restaurant and event halls. The Calgary Yacht Club also calls the small city its home; as one of the largest man-made lakes in the Calgary region suitable for boating, it makes sense!
