New Town Centre On It's Way for Currie Barracks in Calgary

Plans are set to build a new town centre in the heart of Currie Barracks, Calgary’s newest inner city neighbourhood.

The development is being built in tandem by Canada Lands Company (CLC) and Embassy Bosa, the latter of which is also the developer of the three-phase Evolution Condos project in East Village. It will consist of office, retail and multi-family space – exact square footage for each is yet to be released.

Architecture wise, the town centre will stick to that already found in Currie Barracks. It will have a European-style high street theme with a several buildings and a variety of businesses found across three floors, as well as outdoor gathering areas and parks which will give community residents, and those in neighbouring areas like Garrison Green, access to another inclusive amenity resource just minutes from home.

When finished in 2015 the town centre will become the go-to place for residents of Currie Barracks, a high density neighbourhood where 3,200 properties including single-family, townhomes and condominiums are found.
