If a trip to Calgary is needed, it takes about 15 minutes via the Trans Canada Highway (immediately accessible on the northeast side), or about the same amount of time when using Highway 1A (17th Avenue SE) on the south side.

    A brand new Costco, Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond + more is found along Highway 1A just before entering Calgary. Part of the new East Hills Shopping Centre, you’ll also find a handful of restaurants and other shops and services here.     Chestermere is also home to the 18-hole Lakeside Golf Club complete with a grill restaurant and event halls. The Calgary Yacht Club also calls the small city its home; as one of the largest man-made lakes in the Calgary region suitable for boating, it makes sense!
