The Glenmore Reservoir pathway system starts near the community's northwestern boundary – several kilometres of continuous paved trails that circle the reservoir and connect to the Weaselhead Flats Natural Reserve Area. It's used year-round by cyclists, joggers, dog walkers, and families. In peak season, the Glenmore Sailing Club brings the waterfront to life with kayaking, canoeing, and, of course, sailing.

    Nellie McClung Elementary School (CBE) is located within Palliser’s north-central park and serves the community's public elementary-age students, while John Ware Junior High School (CBE) is adjacent to Southland Leisure Centre provides public junior high education nearby. St. Benedict Elementary School (CCSD) serves Catholic families in the area and is adjacent to the leisure centre. CBE's French Immersion programming is also accessible to Palliser residents.

    Henry Wise Wood High School is the designated high school for Palliser homeowners, home to public programming for grades 10 to 12, and International Baccalaureate (IB) also for grades 10 to 12. Post-secondary access via transit or a short drive connects students to Mount Royal University, the University of Calgary, and SAIT.
