    Large city parks are found throughout the northwest of Calgary, providing opportunities for outdoor leisure and recreation for most of the year. Some riverside parks along the Bow River, like Bowness Park and Bowmont Park for example, have their pathways cleared during the winter as well for year-round use.

    Communities like Arbour Lake, Rocky Ridge and Tuscany are critically acclaimed for their interconnecting parks and pathways amid the beautiful rolling foothills of the northwest. Varying elevations with spectacular views along these pathways are distracting and can make the time fly by.
